Family, our Chickens

Clinic Weekend

It was a clinic weekend, so busy, but…

Our new hens, the ones we started in February are laying! Egg production is starting to come back up again.

And at least one of them prefers finding her own nest rather than using the ones we so lovingly built for her.

10 eggs in the stack of hay bales.

Nothing like coming home from work to smell red cabbage slaw and cinnamon rolls!

After work on Sunday Mommy and Daddy had a date! Our first date in months, since Captain’s Career Course. (We need to get back in the habit of scheduling a date every month.) We came back to pick up the kids from Uncle and found…

Seppi had gotten out his camo paint and camouflaged himself.

He also camouflaged Winnie.

Baths were had by all that night. FYI, dawn dish soap and a coarse wash cloth does a very respectable job of removing camo face paint.
