Recovery

After a big weekend, nothing gets done. After three big weekends in a row, even less gets done. That’s why we have not been blogging for the last week or so.

Daddy had to work the day after CiderFest. However, Mommy made some pies while Daddy was at work. She is very worried lest he become too skinny, and lose his ability to be a source of heat for her.

So she reinforces his love-handles every chance she gets.

On Monday we had several baskets of laundry overdue for attentions, four children who had forgotten how to do school, and no bread.

At least two of those are easily remedied. (When did Seppi get tall enough to see into the frying pan without a chair?!)

Winnie dressed herself this morning. She is a bit indifferent as the direction of decorations or pockets on her dresses.

She is determined to show that Seppi is not the only one getting bigger.

Can you guess which is the Winnie loaf? She did her best, even chanting, “Stretch, roll, squish, stretch, roll, squish” under her breath while forming the loaf, but it is hard to do when you hands are just little.

And it turned out lovely, anyway.

Triumph!

That loaf of bread was gone in five minutes.

And now its laundry time, and school is still not even close to done. But Don’t Worry! Winnie is here to help!
