More Farm Food

Miscellaneous food projects from the last few days. We started a new batch of elderberry elixir.

1/3rd quart jar of gently crushed elderberries (we used the silicone spatula so as not to risk crushing the seeds.

1/3rd 100 proof vodka.

1/3rd honey (with a cinnamon stick and a chunk of ginger root.

We stuck it in the fridge and will continue to turn it every couple of days. In a month we will strain out the solids and keep the liquid.

Fresh baked scones with homemade whipped cream.

Evie and Ellie placed all the chamomile blossoms and leaves in the dehydrator.

Fresh baked whole wheat farm loaf.

Look at the texture!

Two days later, dried chamomile is ready for tea this winter.
