Planting out Cold Weather Crops

A tray of brussels sprouts.

A tray of celery.

A tray of Swiss chard and a tray of cabbage.

All the girls are inside, out of the rain.

You can see where the cold frame was.

Of course, what we didn’t know when we planted these out was that there is a storm developing off the Oregon coast that is now forecasted to cause thunderstorms and hail. God willing, our plants survive it.

Have you ever looked out the window and seen a mini-luchadora staring at you?

This is what happens when you climb over the fence instead of opening the gate.

You find yourself on the wrong side of the fence with two duck eggs in hand, not sure what to do next.
