The geese are in full on nesting mode right now. The gander has gotten so aggressive he had to be fenced off from the ducks behind the electric netting.
He’ll even attack a human, unless you smack his bill with a stick. This is why.
Mrs. Goose is laying eggs!
It’s make or break time for these two, though. There is no place on this farm for freeloaders, especially noisy and aggressive ones. The whole point of buying geese was to have them raise a clutch of goslings for eating and for sale every year. So if they don’t deliver this year, they may find themselves in the freezer come next butcher day.
Although, their eggs are quite impressive. One egg per omelet!
