He found our water line!
Only about 20″ down or so, which is not typical for water lines around this place. It also makes me feel a bit ridiculous for having dug four feet down for part of the trench.
We will leave that little hump in the foreground for a bit. It will do for a form to pour cement.
Actually, it didn’t go quite high enough so we had to build up a secondary “form” with scraps lying around. Good enough to hold the quick-crete.
Now there is a corner post set. Once the plumbing is done and the trench is filled in we can hang gates across the driveway whenever we feel like it.
