The sheep will happily bound over and eat all the alfalfa pellets. The steers are a little bit more circumspect.

But they let Kathleen scratch their foreheads for a few seconds.

Pasture is starting to get dry and short, so we tossed in a bale of hay. The steers thought it was tasty, the sheep didn’t seem terribly interested.
We may have to feed out more hay or irrigate, or both, now that we are in the dry season again.
