I bet you didn’t know there was going to be a part deux. But there is!

LAst time, when we put the thing together we didn’t have a tarp to go on top, so, while it did cast some shade, it was very little, and in a grid pattern.

Now we have a green/silver 12 x 16 tarp that is going to do admirably, and be pretty, for a while until it gets sun-bleached.
If you are wondering why the two short ones are helping tarp this instead of the tall one, it’s because she was sent on another errand to fetch a power tool.

Shown here in yellow.

A package of zip ties made short work of fastening the back end and the edges.

While a bale twin run through grommets provided a quick way to draw the front closed. The feeder for the sheep minerals is fastened to the frame so it will come along wherever we move.
And then we moved it out to pasture. We were correct, the larger wheels make pulling through the roungh ground and tall grass easier, though the narrowness of the turning gear makes the front end a little unstable on bumps and divets.

The steers and sheep haven’t noticed the big green thing in their paddock yet.

Now they’ve figured it out! Nice and shady.
