Last Saturday and Sunday were the first family weekend we have had in nearly three weeks. Enjoy!

Yes, she is feeding the baby chicks in her jammies. She threw up her breakfast (yogurt) and the smell was such that we felt she needed to change. Jammies were what we had on hand, so, jammies it was.

She doesn’t care. She loves taking care of her animals in any outfit.

Setting up the sheep in their new pen, reinforcing the gate with no-climb woven wire because these little guys are small and athletic. They can, and did, bound right between the bars of the gates like it was their job.

Practicing holding the new show chickens. This is “Quartz” who looks anything but thrilled to be selected for the performing arts.

Yes, that is an official authorized hold for 4H birdsmanship.

And this is “Gemma.”

On Sunday we set up the electrified netting to close off about a 20 foot section of the pasture to keep the sheep in.

And there they are, samppling the grass, as far away from the people as they can possibly get.

All that farming can wear a poor girl out.

Time for a nice comfy nap on the hay mow.
Thanks be to God for this beautiful place, and the beautiful day, and our beautiful family.
