Holy Saturday, the day before Easter, we sent a quiet morning filling in the trench that we dug to put the irrigation line in.

340 feet. A long way to go.

We had a little four footed help out there. The pigs are well over a hundred lbs right now, just eye-balling them and not nearly as bouncy as they were when they were piglets.

Uncle and Seppi and Ellie getting started at the halfway point.

So many rocks. Rather than load them all up in the truck and transport them to the rock pile (there were literally thousands of them, we tossed most of them right back in the trench.

Cool thing about the halfway point, there is water there now.

Ryan breaking up the spoil pile with a shovel and tossing the sods into the trench. Adam dragging the loose spoil in with a shovel.

We called it quits at 11:30 for lunch, 260 feet finished in under three hours, about 80 feet left to go. Then the last of the big digging projects for this spring are complete. We might come up with more for the summer, because digging is just so much fun.
