So Many Eggs, So Little Sitting

Mama Goose is continuing to lay eggs,

and continues to hiss at anyone who comes near.

But she doesn’t seem to be sitting on it very often.

Uncle has begun selling some of the eggs to people who want to blow them out and use them for Easter projects. I do not think it is likely we will get a clutch of goslings this year, which is not surprising, she is not quite a year old yet. Embdens are supposed to be good sitters (one of the reasons we invested in that breed) so we will continue to watch and see what happens. If she doesn’t hatch out some eggs this year, next year we will probably take some to incubate artificially.
