Our Garden

Down by the Garden Gate.

We have been having issues with the dog lately, running back into the berry patch behind the garden. He likes to run back and forth along the fence separating the berry patch from the old orchard, barking his head off at the pigs and the geese, trampling the goumi berries and disturbing the mother goose on her nest. So we are altering the fence line around the garden to keep him out of there. As might be expected, this involves digging.

“I think this looks like as good as spot as any.”

5 Minutes later…

How deep is the hole?

Deeper than the Winnie.

Next we moved the whole gate, post and all, and set it in the new hole. We weren’t quite ready for the concrete, so we wedged the bottom with rocks…

The bigger the better. This will keep the base from moving until we are ready to put the quick-crete and the sleeve for the new flag pole in tomorrow. (Which is actually today, God willing, as of this writing.

Then we block it off with a calf panel, and walk away, like a cool guy, in slow motion.

Now, on to other projects!
