Our Advent Wreath

By Evie.

My dad and I are making an Advent Wreath.

My dad is cutting out candles.

I am cutting out side boards. As you can see the saw is diagonal, but so is the cut.

I am screwing the joint in place. Dad is holding the wood in place.

OOPS!

My dad glued the side boards, but we accidentally cut a board to long. So we had to force it in to place.

We had to screw it to keep it in place.

This is what it looked like put together (not painted).

The next step was to cut out the side frames. Dad was cutting diagonally to make it easy for me.

I am cutting (or trying to). You should not try to use it.

SEE!

We were squaring it. Thank Goodness I did not get glue on my hair, because if I did I would not even have hair the next day!

OOPS! We cut too big again.

We are writing letters (A, B, C, and D) so that we know which goes with what.

SAME

My dad is cutting a little bit because we cut too big.

OOPS! My dad slipped!

I LOVE CUTTING

I HATE GLUE!

We are doing my favorite part: PAINTING!

Still Painting.

They are painted.

We are still painting!

We are still still painting

Drying was a big problem. It was too cold for the paint to dry.

I am sizing wood.

I was putting candles on the frame.

Ugh!

EEW!

I LOVE PAINTING!

Voila!

I was putting the lights on the candles.

YA!

Candle light, candle bright, first candle I see tonight.

ADVENT, ADVENT, A LITTLE LIGHT BURNS. FIRST 1, THEN 2, THEN 3, THEN 4. THEN SEE THE CHRISTCHILD AT THE DOOR!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
