Our Pasture

Early morning digging

Adam and Ryan got out onto the pasture this morning, digging trench for the irrigation system that still needs to go in.

28° out, the ground was quite frozen, and of course it was a little over an hour before sunrise.

But you dig when you have the time, not when the weather cooperates.

Besides, once you have dug about 20 feet in this rock strewn soil, you get warmed up plenty. You end up shedding a layer or to.

Got about 70 feet completely dug before the sun came up.

Chickens. Don’t care how cold it is, they want to get out on the pasture.
