Today Daddy and Seppi and Winnie drove down to Olympia to buy our new pigs.

Winnie was very excited to see them at first, but she got scared by their squeals when they were carried over to get their ears tagged and get loaded into the crate.

Two barrows and a gilt, all registered Meishans.

We made a little tent for them before we got out on the highway to protect them from the wind chill.
Neither the pigs, nor Ellie, were sure about them being in their new home.

But soon enough they settled down for a nap. It was an exhausting day for them.

Exhausting for Winnie too.
Seppi, however…

Was full of energy.

So now they are in their new home, with food and water, but at the moment they seem most interested in wandering around and eating the various weeds to be found growing in the gravel and sand.
Good! That’s what we got them for, to eat grass and weeds.
Bon Appetit!
