It is getting very cold and wet out there most days, so we decided to pull the remaining onions and bring them in to dry so they don’t rot. Most of them are pretty small, which is why we didn’t pick them earlier.
Ellie Belle did the honors of picking them and stacking them on the shelf in the shop to dry.
She wanted me to do a video so she could offer commentary on it, but I decided not to.
“I can’t work under these conditions.”
The very small ones we will probably start in the greenhouse or cold frame in the spring to see if they will work as sets.
But even tiny onions can flavor a soup!
