This was not a very restful weekend. We try very hard to make Sunday a day of rest, and avoid any weekday work. Unfortunately, the world is not so oriented. It was a drill weekend, so Daddy was off doing army stuff.
The kids took the opportunity to be unusually rambunctious. The baby decided not to nap; the two middle children decided to be alternately best friends, and worst enemies; the oldest decided to absent herself from the chaos and hide somewhere with a book.
To make mommy’s job just a little more entertaining, we still have the two boxes of peaches that Seppi and Deedee and Papa picked on Monday. They had not even been close to ripe on Tuesday or Wednesday, the days we expected to can them, and Saturday we just had way too much going on.
By Sunday afternoon, they were pretty soft for the most part, and mommy works Monday and Tuesday, so they weren’t going to get canned in the first half of this week.
The end result was they either had to get preserved, or go bad and be fed to the pigs.

So this was us, an hour past bedtime.
But this was us the next morning, so there you go.

God is good and always provides
