Our Garden

I been picking beans

Busy day in the garden today. Still having issues with blossom end rot on the tomatoes, and then, with all the rain we’ve gotten for the last two days a bunch of them are starting to split.

Pigs made out like bandits.

Still several quarts worth saving. Ellie washed them and we cored them to put in the freezer until we are ready to sauce them.

Liens are coming in like it’s their job.

Massive haul of beans.

And we pulled one of the north Georgia candy roaster Hubbard squashes to try.

Not to mention some sweet corn for supper, some cucumbers, and some honeydew melons.

A bit monochromatic, but otherwise, not a bad supper with some sausage.

Of course, you know what all those beans mean…

That’s right, it’s canning time.

Looks like another late night at the Kraeger house. But it’s bad form to complain about abundance.

‘Murica, y’all!
