Our Garden

Tomato update.

A beautiful heirloom marriage, without a trace of blossom end rot.

Four days after treating the tomatoes for blossom, end rot with the lime, the “end rot“ spray that we ordered from Amazon finally arrived.

By that time we were already starting to see a bunch of well formed sauce tomatoes without end rot, although we still had a couple of gallons of rotten ones to feed the pigs.

We got the troops out to continue the job spraying them with the aftermarket end rot spray.

We also got out the hose and sprayed down the lime residue that was still on the bushes, getting it down into the straw bale, so that it would get to the roots and feed the fruit.

Found this little guy too.

Need to remember to look him up and see if he is friend or foe.

Looks like we are starting to get ahead of the blossom end rot. Next year have to remember to prevent it.
